Miller-Valentine Group is pleased to be selected as the Construction Contractor for the 21,647 SF addition to the United Rehabilitation Services (URS) facility located on Old Troy Pike at Needmore Road in Dayton.
Commencement of the building addition will begin after the Public Launch & Groundbreaking on Monday, February 29, 2016, at 10:00 am.
The expansion will include a new Children’s Wing, Nursing Clinic, Classrooms, Offices, a Laundry Facility and Gymnasium to the current center, and is scheduled for completion in December 2016.
URS is a local nonprofit, serving nearly 3,000 children and adults annually with a variety of disabilities or special needs. This expansion will increase the capacity to the agency’s Early Childhood Education Program, tripling the number of infants and doubling the number of toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. The expansion will also increase services for adults and seniors with disabilities by almost 100 individuals.
Miller-Valentine Group has worked with URS over the years, first renovating and expanding their facility in 1998, and again providing construction services which included a daycare and reception area renovation, as well as a courtyard renovation a few years later. “We are very pleased to be called on once again to fulfill URS’s need for additional space and to work with an organization so dedicated to serving the needs of our community”, said Denny Whitehead, Sr. Vice President, Dayton Market. “Anytime we are able to work closely with a client on multiple projects, we become a close knit team, which allows us to work very efficiently together.”
