Miller-Valentine Construction Delivers 1,000,000 SF Building Addition to Harbor Freight Tools

November 18, 2014 / By Crystl Zimmer, Project Assistant

Miller-Valentine Construction successfully managed the delivery of the 1,000,000 SF building addition to the existing distribution facility located in Dillon, SC. The expansion brought the new distribution center to approximately 2,000,000 SF and allows Harbor Freight Tools to increase their productivity to serve their growing retail network. The “state of the art” facility includes 140 dock doors, 38 ft. in clear height, and an additional 700 trailer parking stalls.

Miller-Valentine Construction provided construction management services for the Pre-Construction and Construction stages of the project and was responsible for the coordination of the project’s schedule, design, and ultimately the construction administration for the successful delivery.

“We were pleased to work together with the Harbor Freight Tools management team and assist them with a significant expansion to their operation in Dillon County. As owners and contractors of millions of square feet of similar product, Miller-Valentine Construction was a natural fit to oversee the delivery of this mission-critical project,” said Kevin Werner, Partner with Miller-Valentine Construction. “We look forward to working with Harbor Freight Tools on future projects as they continue to grow throughout the country.”
