Community Involvement

Miller-Valentine Group is committed to being a model corporate citizen in the communities we serve. We proudly support local and national organizations that provide much-needed services throughout the community. This company-wide initiative is overseen by two committees:

  • The Gifts Committee – Miller-Valentine Partners and Associates who administer the process of philanthropic giving
  • Helping Hands Committee – Provides opportunities for Miller-Valentine Associates to engage in community service

Community Blood Center

Community Blood Center has honored Miller-Valentine Group with the Gold LifeSaving Ambassador’s Club award for blood drive excellence in 2016 and with the Strategic Summer Partner award for helping meet the challenge of maintaining the blood supply during the summer of 2016

Caring Partners – Backpack Initiative

Miller-Valentine Group Associates in both Dayton and Cincinnati came together to pack a total of 200 back to school bags for needy children in K-5th grades.  Staples was kind enough to donate some of the school supplies, and Caring Partners donated personal care items.  Miller-Valentine Group purchased the bags, coordinating water bottles, and the remainder of the school supplies to fill these bags.  We teamed up with Caring Partners because they work with groups in both the Dayton and Cincinnati markets and were able to distribute bags to the following groups:

  • Hope House – inner City Middletown
  • New Life Vineyard Church Food Pantry – inner City Hamilton
  • Kingdom Come – after school program for at risk kinds in Avondale
  • Inner City Dayton outreach
  • Miami Twp – Milford Food Pantry
  • Cincinnati Federation of Colored Women’s Club – inner City Cincinnati and Walnut Hills

Adopt A Class

In partnership with Adopt a Class (, we have adopted Ms. Maglecic's 5th grade class at Norwood View Elementary. Their mission is to connect inner-city youth and local businesses through mentorship.

In addition to bringing playground improvements to the school such as outdoor water fountains, increased safety, shade, and other greatly needed items, Miller-Valentine will also work with the kids to plan, budget, schedule, market, and execute the project, giving them a sense of pride for what their ideas and hard work will do for their school and community.

The improvements are possible with Miller-Valentine's financial support in addition to time and materials donated by our suppliers.

Habitat for Humanity - Miller-Valentine Group Volunteer's Partner with the United Way and Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity in Support of Arthurtown

Miller-Valentine Group Associates from the Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina offices recently partnered with Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity to volunteer in the Arthurtown neighborhood through the United Way Day of Action. The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to families in Richland and Lexington Counties.

Miller-Valentine volunteers were tasked with revitalizing four homes in the Arthurtown neighborhood by washing the exterior, painting of porches and shutters, weeding and planting the gardens, and removing a tree that had been damaged by a lightning strike. As part of their volunteer efforts, Miller-Valentine Group also made a monetary donation towards the supplies used.
