Thrive Memory Care

Construction is now complete on this purpose-built, 60 unit memory care facility for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, addressing the unique needs of its residents.

Building features include: 

  • 60 units, comprised of 54 single and 6 double units, each with their own full bathroom

  • Community spaces for dining and recreation

  • Specialized covered lighting to reduce visual overstimulation

  • Salon and Spa

 

United Rehabilitation Services

Miller-Valentine Construction was selected to build a 20,000+ SF addition for United Rehabilitation Services, allowing the non-profit organization to further meet the needs of the community.  The new addition includes additional classroom space for infants, preschool, and school-age children; a multipurpose room; 2 new staff offices; a new nursing office; and a laundry room.

 

Atlas Commerce Center Phase II - Industrial

Atlas Commerce Center Phase II is a sister building to the Phase I building (View Time Lapse Video). Both buildings are 67,500 SF class “A” multi-tenant industrial buildings located in Palmetto Commerce Park the premier industrial park in the Greater Charleston, SC region.

 

Restoration on King - Hotel

Miller-Valentine Group was selected by the developer to provide construction services on this new 7-story, 34 room boutique hotel as an addition to the Restoration On King hotel. This hotel is located in the historic district of Charleston, SC.   Miller-Valentine provided all pre-construction services to include budget pricing, best value analysis during the design development phase, coordination of all entitlements; including BAR, TRC, planning/zoning, and the building department. London Computer Systems - Office

Construction is complete on a new 3-floor, 78,000 SF Class A office building for London Computer Systems (LCS), a computer software company currently located in Loveland, OH. LCS has grown rapidly the past few years and needed a new facility with room for expansion. The new headquarters is a high-tech office environment, with high ceilings, lots of natural light and a modern feel.  Click here for more information

Dermatology & Laser Center of Charleston - Medical

Recently completed is Dermatology & Laser Center of Charleston's second location to serve their growing patient base. The renovation for the new state of the art medical facility houses the Clinical Research Center of the Carolinas, offering participation in active clinical research trials. Additional space is now available for patient care, procedure rooms, and customized treatment plans.
 

 

UniFirst Corporation - Industrial

Miller-Valentine Construction has completed work on a project for UniFirst Corporation; a 12,000 SF addition and 7,500 SF interior renovation to an existing, fully operating commercial uniform and facilities service building in Franklin, Ohio.

The project required six (6) phases to complete the exterior site work and building addition. The interior renovations were scheduled in four (4) phases. The multiple phases were required to accommodate the customer's continued use of the building and grounds as Miller-Valentine renovated the building around them.  

Additional building highlights include:

• Six dock doors
• 6,400 SF renovated office space
• 14’ deep cast in place pit for storage tanks

 

NuVasive - Industrial 

The former Motoman facility, vacant for nearly four years, has been acquired by San Diego-based NuVasive, a medical device company focused on developing minimally disruptive surgical products & procedures for the spine.

Miller-Valentine Construction completed 66,000 square feet of existing space demolition, 25,000 square feet of new office space, 26,000 square feet of amenities and common space, and 88,000 square feet of renovated manufacturing space.  Click here for more information

 

Atlas Commerce Center - Phase 1 - Industrial 

Miller-Valentine was retained by the Owner at the conception of this project to provide complete Design-Build turnkey construction services which included; evaluating multiple sites, selecting and coordinating civil, structural, architectural, and MEP design and construction services.

Otterbein Terrace Place Apartments - Independent Living

Work has been completed on Otterbein Terrace Place Apartments, a 4-story, 46-suite independent living facility constructed on Otterbein’s Lebanon, OH campus. The 4 story building consists of 1- and 2-bedroom suites on all 4 floors. Much of the first floor is partially below grade, housing an enclosed garage for 36 cars and 11 golf carts. On the second floor, residents enjoy a terrace with a green roof constructed over the garage and a community room with a service kitchen. 

Miller-Valentine Construction self-performed a number of tasks on this project, including structural steel erection, doors/frames/hardware, and restroom accessories/partitions. Click here for more information

Universal 1 Credit Union - Retail Bank

This facility for Universal 1 Credit Union features an arched entry, four-lane drive-thru, and drive-up ATM machine. The interior space has offices, conference room, teller line and open lobby for member services.

 

Pratt Industries (Beloit) - Industrial

Construction is complete on a new facility for Pratt Industries in Beloit, Wisconsin.  This project consisted of a building footprint of 361,200 SF, with an additional 50’ x 360’ mechanical area building bump out. There are 3 mezzanines included; warehouse mezzanine of 12,300 SF, parts storage above office area of 2,500 SF, and transformer mezzanine above the electrical room of 1,000 SF.  Construction on this facility is concrete tilt-up wall panels with a minimum of 30’ clear at the first girder line at the docksides of the building.  

  

Prologis (Subaru Build-to-Suit) - Industrial 

Prologis, a leading owner, operator, and developer of industrial real estate, hired Miller-Valentine Construction and our partner, Gordian Construction, to construct the 715,000 SF Build-to-Suit facility for their tenant, Subaru USA.  A year later, Miller-Valentine was call back to construct the 247,000 SF building addition to the Subaru facility.  Click here for more information

 

 

Republic National Distributing Company - Industrial

Recently completed is a 129,500 SF addition to the existing 206,500 SF Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) Columbia, South Carolina warehouse facility. The existing building was completed by Miller-Valentine Group in 2010, and this expansion will increase RNDC’s distribution capabilities by more than fifty percent.  The new tilt-up addition will house new material handling equipment including an additional three-level pick module, racking, and overhead conveyor systems.  Approximately 12,250 SF of existing tilt-up panel will be relocated to allow for the interior of the facility to remain open and contiguous. Mt. St. John Novitiate - Religious 

The new Novitiate at Mount Saint Johns has replaced the former 100-year-old Novitiate structure.  Much of the old building was salvaged or recycled prior to demolition.  The new building has 16 modest and private bedrooms, each with their own bathroom.  The building will be called home to Priests, Brothers, and Novices as they live and learn together.  The home is 17,460 SF made up of 2 stories with an elevator, and timeless wood accents including an open central staircase. The community has an on-site Chapel for daily services, a large residential kitchen, dining room, and community rooms as well as some small offices and a classroom space. Prologis ETNA #4 - Industrial

Construction is complete on this new 410,000 SF building, located outside of Columbus.   Prologis, a leading owner, operator, and developer of industrial real estate, hired Miller-Valentine Construction and our partner, Gordian Construction, to build the project. Click here for more information

 

Eating Recovery Center of Ohio - Office Renovation

Eating Recovery Center is an international center for eating disorders recovery, providing comprehensive treatment for adults, adolescents, and children.

FlightSafety International - Training Center

FlightSafety’s new learning center in Columbus, Ohio includes 13 advanced technology pilot and maintenance training classrooms, 12 briefing and debriefing rooms, and facilities for 12 graphical flight-deck simulators. Click here for more information

 

South University School of Physical Therapy - Education

This facility is a new 2-story, 22,236 SF shell building with core restrooms and mechanical/electrical/communication fit-up to accommodate future offices, conference rooms, and classrooms for their expanding campus located within the Carolina Research Park, Columbia, South Carolina. KEG 1 O'Neal - Industrial

KEG 1 O’Neal is one of the innovators of the industry’s new “mindset.” To meet the demands of their expanded distribution capabilities, KEG 1 O’Neal in Weatherford, Texas consolidated multiple, older facilities into one newer, more efficient distribution complex. The design-build, concrete tilt-up project is fully air conditioned with warehouse space, offices and a mezzanine in the main building. Click here for more information

 

University of Dayton Athletic Performance Center - Renovation

This 9,700 SF renovation project for the University of Dayton converted existing space in Reichard Hall to an Athletic Performance Center, including a weight room, nutrition bar, and offices.  The project positively impacts all 17 of the University's sports programs and specifically men’s and women’s basketball. This renovation allows all of the University’s nearly 450 student-athletes to train, practice and study within a 500-foot radius.  Click here for more information

 

Blackstone Shooting Sports - Multi-Use

This new 27,090 SF facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, will feature a spacious 26-lane indoor shooting range suitable for pistols, rifles, and shotguns, a 6,000 SF retail shop, multiple classrooms for training and meetings, and a 3,000 SF member’s lounge.  Pratt Industries (Lewisburg) - Industrial

Recently completed for Pratt Industries was a 357,400 SF manufacturing and warehousing facility in Lewisburg, OH.  The project consisted of a concrete tilt-up structure with a connector building for use in conveying and transporting goods between a neighboring facility.  Click here for more information

 

AcuSport Corporation - Industrial

Work has recently completed on AcuSport Corporation, in Bellefontaine, OH.  This 130,000 SF addition includes an additional 96,000 SF of warehouse space and 34,000 SF of office space. Miller-Valentine built the existing 117,000 SF facility for AcuSport in 1989.  Click here for more information

 

Huhtamaki - Industrial

Huhtamaki North America, a leading manufacturer of consumer goods packaging, as well as tableware (Chinet®), cups, folding cartons, containers, carriers, trays and service ware for the foodservice industry and retail markets, selected Miller-Valentine Construction to renovate approximately 942,000 SF of the old Ford Motor Company transmission plant in Batavia, Ohio.  Click here for more information

 

 

Heidelberg Distributing Company - Industrial

Miller-Valentine Construction recently completed the renovation of this 779,000 SF project which included the removal of an existing rail system that ran throughout the former Cooper Tire building and replaced approximately 125,000 SF of the concrete floor slab.  Part of the new facility includes an 186,000 SF of CEW (Controlled Environment Warehouse), a 32,000 SF draft cooler, and approximately 50,000 SF of high-end office space with a 40,000 SF mezzanine space above for future expansion.  Click here for more information
